Are blogs still a thing? …
Seriously, are they? I debated whether to use that line or not, but in the end, I’m just going to keep it. Unfortunately, the web has changed rapidly in the last 5 years and I’m not even sure if anyone keeps a blog anymore, I mean, everyone’s got a podcast or a TikTok now. However, I’m an old soul; a Generation X old schooler and blogs are my jam. I’ve grown tired of the social media platforms, so here I am, standing on my own platform.
Now, for the genesis of this platform, recently, I lost my husband and I’ve found myself with lots of time and a large void where I used to share my thoughts. Finding resources online for recently widowed individuals is hit and miss, and I just decided write through my journey, in the hopes of helping others, if anyone ever finds this blog. 😉 I won’t be posting exclusively about grief or loss, but that is a main focus for me sitting down to create this.
Depending on when you’ve found this little first post, I am building this blog around my posts, so if you see changes, just know that it’s a work in progress..or a deconstruction of the foundation. Loss tends to skew your viewpoint.
Okay, the awkward first post is done, now onto other things. Until then,
