A few days ago, America once again was rocked by another mass school shooting.
I always despise how this plays out in American media and politics..but after losing my husband, it now sickens me.
18 children were murdered by a lost soul, and I won’t go into detail about that, it contains enough tragedy on it’s own without me piling on – but I will take a hammer to our politicians and our media who use these incidents to grandstand for whatever policy or narrative they see fit to spout.
There are grieving families in Uvelde, TX right – and it’s the loss of small children. It’s not an invitation to opine on your selected hobby horse.
This isn’t about sides, this is about giving respect to 21 lost lives and the families who have had to do the unthinkable.
Stop. Stop acting like you have some answer in your back pocket if only [insert political opinion here], give space to people who are entering terrain that is unthinkable. If you are a believer, pray for them, if not, send your positives vibes or whatever you believe.
But don’t pollute this country with your hot takes, let people grieve, let others help, let there be some respect for all the souls whose lives has been ripped away.
God help us all, but God please comfort those who are in suffering.
